“Engaging, sincere with just enough quirk and wit”
-Martin Vincent
“Hauntingly numinous”

Juliana Carr is a fiery Americana songstress, instrumentalist, and dynamic creative force. Rooted in the sounds, traditions, and mythologies of olde, her modern folk songs seamlessly span time and genre, springing forth with a freshness and ferocity which resonates in the present moment. Amidst poignant musings and clever word-play, sung with qualities both deeply intimate and hair-raisingly wild, Carr radiates genuine soul, weaving lilting melodies through the whimsical rhythms of her finger-style guitar.
Carr is a Pittsburgh-area transplant who made Brooklyn, NY her home for many years. It was there she released her first record of original songs To & Fro (2013) and created, directed, produced, & performed BLUE, a Joni Mitchell inspired piece involving paint & dance at the Living Gallery, BK (2016). She also composed and performed soundtracks for Felicia Cooper’s theatrical puppetry productions The Ironweed Tales (folkLAB) and Porto Domi (The New Hazlett Theater) both debuting in Pittsburgh (2018). Carr has since relocated across the river to NJ and continues to collaborate and share her music with the community around her.
Her upcoming EP titled Anywhere But Here (Summer 2019) features an eclectic sampler of original songs, leading with the plucky memoir No Savior and leaving with the rousing love hymn Come With Me.
